Some students need additional loans to help fund their education. Below is a chart you can use to compare the Federal Grad PLUS and Private loans to help determine which is the best choice for you.
Per the One Big Beautiful Bill, starting with the 2026-2027 academic year, Grad PLUS loans will no longer be available for new borrowers. Continuing Graduate students with federal loans prior to July 1, 2026 will continue to have access to Grad PLUS loans for 3 years or until completion of their program, whichever comes first.
