Verification

If you were selected for verification, we’ll contact you via your VT email address and Financial Aid Self-Service Portal. If notified, you will need to submit certain documentation to complete this process. Please follow the next steps below to see what is being requested and how to submit.

1. Log into your Financial Aid Portal.                
2. Ensure you are in the appropriate “Aid Year” towards the top of the screen.
3. Under the “Home” tab, you will see “Student Requirements.”
   • Under these, you will see “Unsatisfied Requirements” and “Satisfied Requirements.” For any Unsatisfied Requirements, click the requirement for further instructions and any applicable forms being requested. Forms can be found under our Forms page.             
4. Submit documentation and any applicable forms using our Secure Document Uploader or by mail. If you mail, please use the mailing address below.

5. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing once all documentation has been submitted. You can view the status of your requirements in your Financial Aid Portal under the “Student Requirements” section.
