Presidential Scholarship Programs

These awards were established to broaden multicultural experiences at Virginia Tech. Its goal is to attract students with diverse backgrounds and provide opportunities to contribute to the Virginia Tech Community.

Students wishing to be considered for these awards should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the January 15 deadline.

There are five types of Presidential Campus Enrichment Awards.

  • Presidential Campus Enrichment Grant is a grant with the intent of increasing multicultural experiences at Virginia Tech.
  • Peer Academic Coaching initiative is designed to improve the retention and graduation rates of the undergraduate student population and to contribute to the development of student leaders on campus.  Please visit The Student Success Center website for more information on the application process.
  • Presidential Scholarship Initiative is a competitive scholarship program designed to offset the costs of college for in-state Virginia high school students with significant financial need. No application or recommendation letter is necessary
  • VT VCCS Lifeline Scholarship is awarded to select VCCS graduates continuing their education at Virginia Tech. One full and five one-half annual tuition and fee scholarships will be awarded to each fall term’s entering cohort. No application or recommendation letter is necessary.
